The video was commissioned by York Region Capital Delivery and created by Chamberlain Productions specifically for the Rapid Excavation & Tunnelling Conference held in Toronto in June 2007.
At this International assembly of tunnelling professionals, the goal was to showcase the Region's capital construction program - highlighting the three areas of the Region's commitment to: community, the harmonizing of excellence in engineering with environmental stewardship, and environmental management. The words chosen in each segment often overlap, repeating the thought that the Region is raising the bar on protecting the environment while using responsible, appropriate construction techniques.
